Recently, hubby and I got away for a half-day trip to one of our favorite places, Wimberley, Texas. It’s a small town 30 miles southwest of Austin. It’s a great little place with lots of local flair. In fact, we stumbled over a new delight I’m sharing here with you!
These 5-foot high, fiberglass boots were designed by 26 artists. There are 80 boots sprinkled around town (no two are alike). While we didn’t find all of them, we did discover some incredible beauties! I think the motto “Everything’s Bigger In Texas” applies here!
Travel tip: Eating on the road gets expensive. Food in airports, convenience stores, vending machines at hotels, you name it, it adds up. Before a trip, I stock up on non-perishable snacks for the days we’re away. You can find small travel size snacks in the checkout lines at those super stores. Hubby likes the beef sticks and cheese combos. I prefer the small packs of pumpkin seeds and nuts. We both indulge in the crispy treat (still paying more, but it’s packaged for air travel) and usually split one during a drive, in the airport while waiting on a flight, or as a quick, non-nutritious late night snack. I buy multiples and put them in those slider bags (can never have too many of those), place them flat in the bag, and pack it in the large front pocket on my suitcase. It’s easy to retrieve in a hurry and helps tide you over until you can get a real meal while traveling.
I hope you enjoyed the Pictures From The Passenger Seat! Now, it’s off to find even more fun pictures to share!
Happy travels, everyone!
